View of the Moscow Kremlin [link] and the Moskva River [link] from the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge [link] Moscow, Russia ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To be honest, there aren't many (if any) elements to this photo that aren't pleasing or enjoyable. The photo isn't perfect, but it's darn near close!
Firstly, the lighting is very appealing. Very playful and lively, and also realistic. The colors are also very eye-popping, but not overly so. The red of the tower really makes the photo stand out, and gives it a wonderful sense of depth.
The people on the sidewalk, the cars all going in the same direction, the early morning fog... these elements all add that little extra special something that lets the viewer find something new with each glance.
The "power of thirds" is also triumphantly displayed here... with the viewer's eyes fixing on the red tower, the large building in the distance, and the Nikon complex on the left. GREAT use of the Triangle Theory!
Finally, the photo itself looks like a high-end advertisement. This isn't a bad thing... it's a wonderful thing. With such clarity, this literally looks like a highly trained Nikon professional photo taken to advertise the Nikon building! I think this is a WONDERFUL affect, and it certainly made me smile.
Overall a very warming photo, and pleasing to the eye, and not at all just a "dull scene". Wonderful capture! Very impressive!
